We currently have an opening for a Contracts Administrator.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Administrator is responsible for negotiation and management of medium to large contracts and changes.
Participates in proposal preparation; has responsibility for negotiating price, delivery, technical baseline, and
terms and conditions; performs contract review and acceptance; administers and monitors contract performance; assists
program manager in solving related problems such as questions regarding risk, profit, special contractual provisions.
This is an intermediate level position and requires the exercise of some judgment within defined procedures and some
management direction.
Responsibilities include
- Generate new ideas, procedures and processes that will have a positive effect on customer satisfaction
Identify gap between Korry processes/requirements and customer needs
Manage scope of the work and schedule to ensure customer satisfaction
Position terms negotiations to be viewed as contribution to mitigate risk and increase profit for Korry.
Ensure contract compliance throughout the company
Prepare contractual correspondence and documentation from pre-award through closure
- Effectively manage change control and issue resolution
Lean Requirements
- Administer contract with best practices to eliminate non-value added/non-essential activities
Establish work standards for contract administration
Meet goals/metrics for contract administration
Cross-trained in all functions of the organization
- Involved in continuous improvements
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Business Administration and a minimum of three years aerospace industry experience in a contracts administration, management, or negotiation position. Must also have demonstrated experience in leading small teams or workgroups, must have a basic understanding of U.S.
Export regulations (EAR and ITAR), and must have a basic understanding of lean manufacturing or process improvement
techniques.
PREFER:
- Masters Degree in Business Administration and five or more years of aerospace industry experience in civil and government contracts administration, management,
or negotiation position.
- Prior experience with submitting license applications under U.S. Export regulations (EAR and ITAR)
- Working knowledge of U.S. Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
- Experience with negotiating and administering contracts with international customers.
