We currently have an opening for a Production Scheduler. 1) With limited supervision, maintains work center capacity load to maximize work center utilization and efficiency; and to minimize setup, inventory, and other associated indirect costs. 2) Maintains operational control over lead-times, work status, and performance feedback, and signals corrective actions where required. 3) Maintains complete and open communication with Planning, Assembly, Stores, Shipping, Fabrication, Legends, and Inspection to ensure timely movement/shipment of all materials. 1) Maintain work center backlog, keeping operation dates current, moving and status of work orders, track and expedite shortages, track expedites and AOG's, correct status errors, create shortages when required, check component availability, restock unused components, monitor input/output, monitor capacity requirements. 3) Maintains work center capacity information and performs material transfers. 4) Provide excellent customer service to all customers, external and internal. 5) Working knowledge of capacity requirements planning techniques, work order scheduling, and priority decision rules. Should be aware of material requirements planning action messages, and how they are generated. 6) Competent in tracking system requirements, and be able to keep database current and clean. 7) Must have working knowledge of cost accounting requirements (labor standards), Engineering Data requirements (BOM's, AIR's, Drawings, ECF's), and product quality requirements. (i.e. ATP's, ESD, proper handling and protection.) REQUIREMENTS High school diploma Experience: one year production control experience in an MRP II environment
