We currently have an opening for a Production Operator, Assembly .

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assemble CPA's per drawing and quality standards.  Will use small hand tools assembling component and/or subassemblies used in wired final assemblies.  Will use basic assembly equipment and measuring equipment to verify that conformance to dimensional, electrical and mechanical functions are met.  Verifies work per Assembly Instruction Record (AIR).  Ideal candidate should be able to recognize and understand mechanical, and/or electronic problems involved in the assembly and be able to effectively communicate those issues.  Makes drawing, assembly documentation or process improvement recommend, or process improvement recommendations to engineering as required.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED and technical school and/or inspection experience preferred but not required.  Two years manufacturing experience is required.

PREFERRED
Technical school certificate

Knowledge of J-STD and/or IPC standard soldering practices preferred but not required.  Candidate should have working experience with crimping and cable harness experience.  Candidate should be well versed in blueprint and schematic reading.
