Reports directly to the Senior Engineering Manager- Engineered Components Strategic Business Unit. This is a working manager position in which candidate:

- performs and manages activities for the sustaining of existing product, along with the design and development of new products utilizing a team of electrical engineers, designers and aides.

- oversees complex design development and product maintenance activities including responsibility for the creation and maintenance of engineering related paperwork, documentation, and procedures.

- structures and coordinates all activities within the team, sets team priorities, and follows up to insure design goals, design non-recurring program hours and program schedules are maintained.

- appraises work performance and salary increases of personnel within the team and provides continuous professional guidance and development.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in electrical CAD tools, board design, troubleshooting, design for test, design for manufacturability and development of proposals for customer requests.
- High energy and a passion for engineering, product development, and driving a culture of engineering excellence.
- Collaborative management style & ability to work closely in a cross functional environment.
- Excellence in both technical ability and departmental management/development skills.

Prefer candidates with five or more years in the development of aerospace products. Also prefer candidate with a working knowledge of military standards and aerospace product performance compliances such as DO-178B and DO-254.
