Revision A of MIL-L-85762 expanded the specification to address new Gen 3 NVIS refinements for fixed-wing aircraft (aircraft other than helicopters). It also formally introduced the general term “NVIS,” and replaced the term “ANVIS radiance” (AR) with “NVIS radiance” (NR).
